Wake up America is the title of the new single recently released by guitarist and singer Fred Marshall, founder of Arkangel one of the pioneering bands of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock in Latin America and who currently leads his personal project MARSHALL.

 

This single is part of Fred Marshall's second solo album, an album that will be released in this fall of 2021.

 

In Marshall's own words, Wake up America is a call to reflection and action against an old problem that afflicts humanity, that problem is none other than slavery and discrimination.

It is a song in the most classic style of heavy metal and to be able to capture it Marshall surrounded himself with very good musicians, such as Emmy Reyes, from  Ancient Settlers and Blackbeer, Emil Reyes from Blackbeer  and  J.C. Henao from Cromlech. 

Recording sessions were held in Spain, France and Colombia and mixing and mastering was done by J.C. Henao at Area 51 studios in Medellín, Colombia.
